Three Boys, Two Rooms, Multiple Updates…and a Big Win!
A recent closet job took us to Hilliard, with the focus being on giving the kids’ rooms more organization and an update from the builder wire systems. The three boys had two rooms with ample space in the reach in closets. The parents were troopers as the boys first decided they wanted to switch rooms, and then they wanted to switch back. No worries as we designed, updated, and presented the parents with closet solutions that would let the kids decide how to organize…and hopefully avoid any future messes.

1. Closet Tear Out and Prep
That wire shelving goes in quick and cheap, but more often than not leaves holes due to the drywall anchors. A quick tear out is followed by spackle, sand, and wiping down the walls to remove any remaining dust. A nice coat of paint (normally white) gives us the canvas to install the closets the following day. At Birdie Brennan, you can take care of tear out and prep or leave the messy work to us.
2. Day of Install
Depending on your timing, one of our crews will arrive in the morning and walk through the install with you. We pay special attention to leveling and squaring the closet system so that no issues will arise in the future. An average, one closet installation will take approximately four hours from start to finish. You are left with a beautiful closet system that gives you the flexibility to grow and change depending on the needs of your family. If you find that you need the hanging system a little lower, a quick adjustment can be made. If you need to adjust the shelving for larger items, that is simple as well. Your closet can be tailored to suit your needs, no matter how often they change.
Once approved, our team will clean up and remove and packaging so that your home is fresh and ready to organize.
3. Put it back together!
We have found that kids love to re-organize their own closets! Even the twin boys from the Hilliard job got right in and started putting their room back together. We can’t promise that your kids will do the same, but we can keep our fingers crossed.
