Just a few thoughts concerning what WAS my very messy condo…
Over the years, some of my friends had attempted to help me “clean up,” but their efforts were short-lived. What I truly needed was not just a serious cleaning up and reorganizing of my messes, but a MENTAL readjustment, too.
I needed someone to teach me how to look at and “see” my “stuff” in new ways — how to tackle a pile of stuff, how to evaluate what I did and, more importantly, what I didn’t, need; how to create new “homes” for what I kept, new homes that were simply categorized and easily stored and reaccessed.
The processes of organizing, and then keeping things organized, were difficult for me, but not beyond my abilities. Birdie had the knowledge and patience to walk me through them, and she did so with kindness and skill and without judgement. And now I can, and do, continue to improve my spaces on my own. THANKS, Birdie!
