Get Organized; Tomorrow is National Clear off your Desk Day!

How does the top of your desk look? Tomorrow (Tuesday), is National Clear off your Desk Day.  Do you have a pile of paper?  This pile usually represents decisions that have been put off, so tomorrow is the day to decide.  Be brutal! 80% of the paper you have never gets looked at again.  Once you have shredded & recycled all you can, figure out a home for the paper you are keeping.  Now, look at the other items on you desk.  The stuff you use everyday should be within arm’s reach.  The less often you use something, the farther away it should be.  It will feel great coming in Wednesday to an organized desk!

Make your lists and check them twice!

It is time to make your lists!  First I want to share tips for your holiday card list.  Break down the project “holiday cards” into small doable tasks.  Get a list together of who you would like to send a card to, get the addresses for those lucky recipients, purchase cards, purchase stamps, address envelopes, sign cards, etc.  Once you have the really small doable tasks, get them on your planner.  Do the same for each list.  You will then have time to do and enjoy each step instead being stressed and overwhelmed!
